A massive re-development at Horizon Shores, or should that be - Meridien Marina's Horizon Shores is underway. As at mid-August, the old berths in the arm of the public ramp were moved to around the back of the marina (photos below). Public ramp charges have increased to $20 for the day and $10 for additional days. Photos 13/8:
On 2nd November, work was well progressed on the new berths in the arm of the public ramp, including changes to the retaining walls where the courtesy berths are. The gangplank to the courtesy berths was not in place due to this work. Whilst the public ramp was still open for business, the increased gate fee and significant construction equipment around the trailer parking area indicates they're not expecting much public casual use. A new rack store is under construction behind the marina private toilet block, and the second lagoon has been closed-off and pumped out ready for excavation of the new marina extension. Photos 2/11:
